On June 23, 2017, author and AIDS activist Anne-christine d'Adesky gathered veteran HIV reporters into one room, including keynote speaker Samuel G. Freedman, columnist for The New York Times, journalists Linda Villarosa, JD Davids, Frank Pizzolli, Anthony Viti, and many others for Bodies On The Line, a memorial celebration honoring the lives and legacies of over 200 US journalists who died of AIDS, and others who covered the epidemic.

Bodies On The Line was the setting for the announcement of an inaugural legacy scholarship to provide research funds for journalists reporting on HIV, The Kiki HIV Reporting Scholarship.

Bodies On The Line is an on-going project to collect names and information on US journalists who died of AIDS, and others who covered the epidemic.
